Our Partners

We founded our practice 30 years ago, focusing on serving the needs of growing, private and publicly-held companies and individual entrepreneurs. A few years later we formed an association with four other lawyers with additional corporate, merger and acquisition experience, litigation expertise, and estate planning, trademark and franchise experience.

Both Jim and Michael Berns are graduates of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Both of us received our law degrees from Hofstra University, where we were editors of Law Review and published legal commentaries. Jim also received an MBA from Columbia University.
